Welcome to our family!

Natkhat Play School was born from a simple idea over 18 years ago: learning should be joyful. Our name, Natkhat, means “playful” in Hindi, and from day one we’ve celebrated that spirit. What started as a tiny kindergarten with just a few kids and colourful mats has blossomed into a beloved preschool known for warmth and trust. Over the years we’ve watched former Natkhat toddlers return as big brothers and sisters – their trust the best testament to our care.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing space where children feel loved and excited to learn. From art corners to story nooks, every corner is designed for curious little hands and minds.

Our Story

In 2007 Natkhat opened its doors under a banyan tree in our first play area. Through the years we’ve expanded classrooms and added play zones – but one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to each child’s joy and growth. Each autumn festival, rainy-day dance, and science fair adds a page to our storybook.

Our Team

Our teachers and caregivers are Natkhat veterans! Many have grown with us since the early days. All are trained in early childhood education, CPR certified, and passionate about making learning fun.

Our Values

Creativity, kindness and curiosity guide everything we do. We believe every little child is unique – just as one curriculum guide notes, each child has “distinct interests, abilities, and learning styles”. At Natkhat we tailor our approach so every child shines.

Director Profiles

A passionate educator and nurturer at heart, Mrs. Anju Anand brings warmth, insight, and decades of teaching experience to Natkhat. As both Director and Principal, she plays a dual role — guiding the school’s academic vision while remaining closely connected with every child’s journey. Her belief that “every child blossoms when they feel loved and heard” defines the very culture of the school.

Welcome to Natkhat Play School – a place where learning begins with laughter and ends with lifelong memories.

Over the past 18 years, I’ve had the privilege of watching thousands of little footsteps walk into our school with wonder and walk out as confident learners. Each child holds a world of potential, and it’s our joy and responsibility to help them explore it safely, happily, and creatively.
